Kelpies are dangerous shape-shifting water spirits from Celtic myth and legend. In the folklore of the Northern Isles of Scotland, which have a strong Norse influence, they are known as Njuggles. The Njuggles are pictured here in-front of the Old Man of Hoy in Orkney.
