This cartoon was created for Fiona Grahame’s The Orkney News column in the April 2018 edition of iScot magazine. The subject of the article is the island of Hoy, in Orkney. It features an overview of the history, geography, and culture of the island.

The Old Man of Hoy is several hundred years old, and cuts a lonely figure. Events such as those depicted here are likely to hasten his imminent collapse.
